kaosiung - Fo Guang Shan Buddha

Getting there, by public transport was fun, pretty easy, but damn google maps seems out of sync or out of date... It looks about 1-2 hours to get there, is only 46 km from the hotel.... 

Taiwan, the underground metro is amazing, if only Auckland could have something like this... The bus network however, ugh, bit of a bone Shaker, similar to NZ buses of the 80s... Are a weird design.

Anyway here are some of the pictures, note I didn't take any inside,  the holy areas...the complex, is similar to the NZ version, just probably 100 times bigger and grander, even has its own mini shopping centre complete with a Starbucks!

Massive fish tank with the genetically modified fish... Pretty coloured one's.

Taiwan not only has autobots, but space Marines too... This was at the main train station 

Also a huge store for animate

Lastly trip to the night market

Flame grilled!! LoL was good, probably a little expensive $10
